steps

  1. open the samples step during onboarding or the voice tab later.
  2. paste one or more real pieces of writing.
  3. or drop `.md` or `.txt` files.
  4. check the live word counts.
  5. submit the samples.
  6. reanalyze the profile after at least three samples.

details to know

  • onboarding asks for samples with a higher word floor.
  • the voice tab can store up to 50 samples per profile.
  • the editor can add a 200+ word document as a sample with the use as sample button.
  • sample upload happens through the same authenticated session as the app.

limits and edge cases

  • files over the size cap are rejected.
  • unsupported file types are rejected.
  • samples should be the user's own writing, not copied competitor text.
